CLASSIC BLUE


Every year, Pantone releases their ‘Colour of the year’. After some unusual colours as ‘Greenery’, ‘Ultra Violet’ and ‘Living Coral’, the colour institute choses a more traditional colour this year: Classic blue. Leatrice Eiseman, executive director at Pantone, explained the following: "We are living in a time that requires trust and faith. It is this kind of constancy and confidence that is expressed by PANTONE 19-4052 Classic Blue, a solid and dependable blue hue we can always rely on."

TRANQUIL DAWN


2020 is the start of a new decade. It is a new beginning, a new era. In an increasingly hectic and digital world, people are longing for meaning and kindness. That is one of the reasons why the Belgian paint brand Levis Tranquil Dawn choses as trending colour of the year 2020. 

Tranquil down is a soft mix between green, blue and grey. The colour is very versatile and can be used in many colour palettes.

RENEWED TERRACOTTA


It’s hot and trending on online platforms and fairs: interior design in earthy colours. Shades of brown, terracotta, orange, etc.. are combined in various ways. A color that pops up very frequently is a type of red-brown that we have called renewed terracotta.

This colour transforms any dull interior into a cozy, warm and stylish place.

CHAMPAGNE COLOUR


Neutral shades like beige, light grey and champagne take the place of pure white, which is gradually disappearing to the background. In 2020 we are going to see a shift away from the cool colour palette, towards warmer and more organic tones.
